Simple, Easy & Kid Approved recipe

Some nights you just really need the kitchen to cut you a break and help you cook up a simple, easy and kid approved dinner. 


I was looking around and finally found a couple different recipes to make and decided to adjust and make my own! Trust me, this recipe is so simple your kiddos could even help with it. 


INGREDIENTS:

4 (10.75 oz) cans of condensed tomato soup 
1 pint half n half
1 cup milk 
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dry basil leaves
S&P to taste
20 oz pkg. cheese tortellini

DIRECTIONS: 
In a large pot cook tortellini according to package directions. 
In another pot add tomato soup, half n half and milk over medium heat. Add in all seasonings and simmer on low until tortellini is cooked. 
Drain the tortellini once finished cooking. 
Pour the sauce over the tortellini. 

Serve and enjoy warm!


Honestly this took about 15 minutes. Quick and so easy! Now for the yummy side dish to serve with it. 


INGREDIENTS:

2 containers Flaky Layer Biscuits 
1/2 cup melted butter
About 8 oz cheese of your choice (I used colby-monterey jack but you can use velvetta or any other you like)

DIRECTIONS:
Melt the butter
Pour half of it into 8x8 pan
Cut cheese into cubes, making sure to cut enough for each roll

Open biscuits and stuff each one with 1-2 cubes of cheese
Roll the dough around the cheese tightly into a ball

Place in pan, arranging evenly 
Pour rest of butter over top 
Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Until golden, puffy and firm all the way through. (Check the middle!)
Serve warm with soup. 


These are definitely the perfect combo for a chilly night or just a family night at home with your family. Hope you enjoy!
