August Goals

I somehow let July slip away without posting my goals but it seemed July was the pick me up month I needed. The month I needed to just abide and dig in with my family, life and wrapping up my current devotional from Naptime Diaries shop. (I highly recommend picking one up today).

I read a quote last week that said

"August brings into sharp focus and a furious boil everything I've been listening to in the late spring and summer." -Henry Rollins
This seemed so true for me. I have listening and watching these past few months of what works and doesn't and August is the month to put them into my focus and goals. So now my goals for this month:

1. Begin packing
We are moving to another rental home. We have been in our apartment for 2 years and we are ready to have a yard again and a place to live with even more affordable price since ours has gone up once again. Especially since we are saving for next year (more on that later).

2. Brother/Sister outing
My little brother is getting married THIS weekend. Yes, it's true. We are heading down on Friday and that evening we are going out on the town for a last little celebration before he is married, just him and me. It will consist of drinks and possibly something else too. If you follow me on Instagram you will see it this weekend!

3. Read 3 books
I have a few books to post reviews on this month and I have a few books I really want to dive into. Any recommendations I can add to my list? I can't wait to read Lysa Terkeurst's new book this month.

4. Take a family walk {at least 4x a week}
I was doing a couch to 5k but then it really began to mess up my thyroid (will be sharing more this month) and so I will be doing walks with my family for right now. What do you do for workouts?

5. Put fresh flowers on table each week
I bought some flowers last week before my father in law's surprise 60th birthday party and it made me realize how much I miss having them on the table. They make me want to keep the table clean and fresh. It is simple but it brings so much cheer to to the room.

6. Buy some candles
The boys share a bathroom now since Ian is fully potty trained. Two boys, one bathroom. You will know why I would like some candles in there.

What are your goals for August?
