goodnight, ark: book review

We are passionate bookworms in our home. We have two bookcases full of color coded books ( yes I did and you can too). The boys currently have a blue bin in their room overloaded with books. We also take a trip to the library almost every week and come trekking home with an armload of books.

I am careful of what we read to the boys. We don't read anything with witches, too scary monsters or scary action heroes. We read Bible stories daily, Elmo, Carl the dog, Froggy, Jake, you name it.

When I saw this book by a new author, Laura Sassi, I couldn't wait to read it to the boys! It has a cute age appropriate story that loosely follows Noah and the Ark. It is entertaining and the pictures are absolutely beautiful, expressive and capturing. The boys love sitting on the couch after I read it and just turn the pages looking at all the lively animals and beautiful colors.

The Book Description:

"Beds are ready.
Food is stored.
Noah hollers,
“All aboard!”
It’s bedtime on Noah’s ark, but the animals can’t sleep because of the storm. Two by two, they crowd into Noah’s bed, creating a sticky situation. Will Noah ever get them back to their own beds? Climb aboard the ark for this rollicking, yet ultimately restful bedtime story as Noah finds a way to make things calm and cozy, even in the midst of a storm."
I definitely recommend picking up a copy and enjoying story time with it.

I received a copy of this book for review from BookLook Bloggers. These words are all my own.
