Nobody's Cuter Than You: book review

A book on friendship and it was simply a delight to read. It had humor, honesty, rawness and a open connection of words flowing through that I really enjoyed.

This book will make you long for that connection in a friendship and to go deeper and build up your current friendships with others than ever before.

One quote that stuck out to me in the book was:

“When we honestly ask ourselves which persons in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not-knowing, not-curing, not-healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is the friend who cares."

Melanie weaves a tale of stories from childhood to adulthood into her friendships and wisdom along the way. It makes for a good read while curled up with a cup of tea.
